Accountancy and Business Taxation

At Conley Ward we provide accountancy and business taxation services to individuals, partnerships and Limited Companies. We work with a range of clients, from individuals for whom an envelope of papers comprise the business records for the year, to large clients who employ several members of staff, have an ‘in house’ accountant and use a commercial bookkeeping package. Our client base covers a wide range of business sectors, including sub-contractors, farmers, professional advisers, retailers, charities, to name but a few. 

We view accountancy and business taxation as an integrated service, so within a client’s chosen business structure we will work to minimise the overall tax liability.

We provide advice on appropriate business structures and record keeping. We provide bookkeeping services, including the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts as part of our accountancy service to some clients.

Trusts

We act as accountants and tax advisers to a number of Trusts, including charities, completing accounts where necessary, providing tax advice and preparing tax returns.

Payroll Services

We provide payroll services to a large number of the clients to whom we also provide accountancy services.  We also provide advice to clients who run their own payroll.

Personal tax and self-assessment tax returns

We complete personal tax returns for, and provide tax advice to a large number of individuals. For some clients the returns are relatively simple. For others, the returns are complex. We provide tax planning advice where appropriate.
